Set as the final update before the brand-new Lightfall expansion releases on February 28, 2023, Season 19 will bring on tons of new content, and changes that players can expect out of a brand-new season.
Destiny 2 Season 19’s release date is December 6, 2022.
Season 19 will end on February 28, 2023 — the day Lightfall arrives (alongside Season 20).
New Dungeon
While Season of Plunder added the King’s Fall Raid, Season 19 will introduce another new dungeon for Guardians to tackle.
We don’t yet know what will be included, but it’s safe to say it’ll be a challenge and offer its Triumph Seal to earn.
For context, the Duality dungeon was added as part of Season of the Haunted and arrived just days after the new season began. Bungie will repeat the trick, too, with the Season 19 dungeon arriving at 5 PM GMT/10 AM PT/1 PM ET on December 9
Destiny 2 Events
Each of Destiny 2’s four seasons this year has been anchored by a seasonal event. And Season 19 will see the holiday-themed Dawning make a return. Essentially Destiny’s version of Christmas, this festive fun is usually seen as a break from the more serious side of the game. And a chance to flex some merry muscles while engaging in some good-natured fun. Like Festival of the Lost and Solstice, expect the Dawning to have its own rewards system. Full of unique cosmetics, weapons, and emotes for participating in the event.
Without any Ghost mods attached or seasonal perks in play, also normal Public Events will pay out between 3,300 and 4,645 Glimmer from Season 19. Also Heroic Public Events will boost that reward to between 10,000 and 12,500 Glimmer.
