‘WORLD WAR HULK’ With DC bringing in the preferences of Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam and Henry Cavill’s Superman also returning. DC extended universe looks like it’s glancing to march ahead of Marvel.
World War Hulk was a comic sequence that ran on the pages of Marvel Comics from the period of May to November 2007.
Built around five issues, the plot follows Hulk pursuing revenge against the Illuminati for the death of his pregnant wife Caiera.
It is seen that Hulk is banished from Earth, after which he gains more power from absorbing high radiation levels on Sakaar. Before finally returning to his home planet to ravage several Marvel superheroes in the spirit of New York.
The movie on the ground of the comics will clearly be a big one, and looks like someone familiar with the project is looking to take it on.
With the release of She-Hulk‘s Season 1 finale on Disney+, Coiro, while speaking to ComicBook.com, said,
“I said this in the beginning, and I still stand by this – one of my favourite things about the whole series is the chemistry between Tatiana and Mark. And their kind of sibling, big brother/little sister dynamic. And I think bringing that to the big screen would be a no-brainer.”
The director’s desire to bring World War Hulk to the movies is also something shared by She-Hulk star Tatiana Maslany, who spoke on Hulk’s child Skaar.
“I mean, we show that Hulk has a child. We reveal his child and so I want to know about that child.” Maslany said.
On the other hand, MCU’s Hulk, Mark Ruffalo, is completely open to it.
“Five years from now it could totally morph into anything, whatever’s pertinent at the time,” Ruffalo said. “I almost see him going back to ‘Berserker Hulk’ or ‘World War Hulk’. It could reach anywhere.”
While Marvel Studios has not formally revealed plans for World War Hulk, it sure sounds like it will be an amazing prospect.
